On March 12, 2025, Guardian Inspection Payments will become the sole integrated credit card processor for ISN. Inspectors who wish to receive the benefits of integrated payment processing – including report locks, next day funding, and additional payment options such as ACH – will need to apply for a Guardian account by that date.

What is the deadline for switching to Guardian?
To ensure you have no disruption in your ability to accept integrated payments in ISN, you must switch by March 12, 2025.
Why is this change happening now?
Maintaining PCI compliance is critical for ISN. Managing compliance across multiple gateways has become cumbersome, taking resources away from enhancing ISN’s core software. By consolidating to solely using Guardian, we’re able to maintain PCI standards more efficiently, reducing administrative burdens and focusing more on improving the software for you.
Our Board of Directors has also prioritized security, and supporting multiple payment gateways introduces greater compliance risks; as such, ISN will move forward exclusively with the CardPointe Gateway via Guardian to ensure the highest security standards.
We’re also introducing this shift during the slower season to give you ample time to make a smooth transition without impacting your peak periods. This timing allows for a seamless setup with Guardian, minimizing disruptions to your operations
What happens if I choose not to set up integrated payments with Guardian?
If you choose not to switch over to Guardian, following the above-mentioned deadline you will no longer have integrated payments within ISN. You will still be able to accept payments via other means, however those transactions will need to be completed outside of ISN.
Without integrated payment processing, if you wish to lock your report until payment is received, the customer has to get ahold of you, give you their credit card information over the phone/in-person, and you will have to manually unlock the report in ISN.
Without integrated payments, you will also miss out on automatic electronic invoicing.
What if I don’t process very many payments?
ISN has negotiated with Guardian to offer inspectors a no-monthly-fee payment processing account. If you don’t use it, you don’t pay a dime. Even if you aren’t using payment processing often, we recommend setting up an account so that it’s ready when you need it.
What if I’m still under contract with another provider?
If you’re able to share documentation of any cancellation fees charged to you by your current provider, Guardian will cover the cost of those cancellation fees.
